Could you be a Shared Lives carer?

Shared Lives is about providing support to vulnerable adults who need some help to live their lives. Shared Lives are looking for individuals and families in the local community to offer accommodation and support for one or up to two vulnerable adults.

The City of Edinburgh Council have organised a carers’ event at the City Chambers on Wednesday 10 April where you will be able to meet current carers and Shared Lives staff and find out what is involved.

The provisional timetable for the event is:

10am. Registration and tea/coffee.

  • Councillor Ricky Henderson, convenor of Health, Social Care and Housing.
  • Angus Greenshields, Shared Lives Scotland development worker.
  • Mark Grierson, Shared Lives manager.

11am. Meet carers and staff.

1pm. Finish.

Visit the Shared Lives website for more details, email or call Social Care Direct on 0131 200 2324.
