The Scottish Government is running events early in 2016 to enable Ministers and the Scottish Government’s Chief Social Work Adviser, Alan Baird, and the Acting Chief Health Professions Officer Tracey MacInnes to engage directly with OTs working in social services to talk about the Vision and Strategy.
These events offer an important opportunity for OTs working in social services to discuss with Ministers and key advisers what support they need in their role and how that support might be met through the Strategy and/or through other local/national initiatives.
The Strategy can be viewed via www.gov.scot/Topics/People/social-services-workforce
Events have been organised for:
- TUESDAY 2 FEBRUARY 2016 – CARNEGIE CONFERENCE CENTRE, DUNFERMLINE, 10.00-12.00 plus lunch
- TUESDAY 16 FEBRUARY 2016 – BEARDMORE CONFERENCE CENTRE, CLYDEBANK CONFERENCE CENTRE, 10:00-12:00 plus lunch
OTs working in social service teams can apply by emailing OCSWA@scotland.gsi.gov.uk giving their name, job title, and organisation name and stating which event they would like to attend.
