Have Your Say – Edinburgh’s Domestic Abuse services

The City of Edinburgh is reviewing how its services respond to domestic abuse, and want to hear from services users and people who work with them to:

  • find out how helpful they have been
  • see how they can be improved
  • make sure they work well together

We are carrying out online surveys and talking to small groups to find out more.  The results will help us to plan services which work for everyone.

To access the surveys please go to www.edinburgh.gov.uk/domesticabuse.  We would be grateful to hear from you, and if you can support your service users to be involved that would be really appreciated.

There will be four discussion groups for professionals around particular themes:

  • Domestic abuse service provision – a focus on the service areas of housing, complex needs and meeting the needs of children.  16 June 2016, 0930 – 1230
  • Hard to reach’ victims of domestic abuse – meeting the needs of hard to reach victims of domestic abuse; male victims, LGBT groups and those in BME communities.  23 June 2016, 1330 – 1630
  • Service pathways – developing a coordinated community based response to domestic abuse.  29 June 2016, 1330 – 1630
  • Outcomes and innovation – identifying the outcomes we are looking for and highlighting innovative new ways of working.  22 July 2016, 1300 – 1600

More information on the discussion groups is attached.  If you are interested in attending these events please email domestic.abuse@edinburgh.gov.uk stating which groups you are interested in

To find out more or how you, or your service users can be involved in focus groups, please email domestic.abuse@edinburgh.gov.uk
