SASW Social Worker of the Year 2018

We are delighted to share the news that Ian Jeffries, a social worker at Penumbra’s Alcohol Related Brain Damage unit at Milestone House and a Mental Health Officer with the City of Edinburgh Council, won Social Worker of the Year 2018 at the SASW awards on World Social Work Day. Congratulations Ian!

The  Scottish Government has temporarily shelved plans, as detailed in this article in Scotland on Sunday, for minimum pricing of alcohol. What do you think about this issue?

This article discusses additional taxation for super-strength alcohol products. Could it work?

I like a good debate so feel free to leave a comment on what you think about this issue.

*UPDATE* new article realting to a Canadian study viewable here
