Asian Network on Ageing

Details of a seminar being held this Friday are available here: Asian Network on Ageing Workshop flyer

It is sponsored by the University of Edinburgh, School of Social and Political Science student-led special project fund.

The seminar will present an opportunity to build on a workshop which was held earlier this year in Sheffield to launch the Network. It will encourage participation from those with an interest in Ageing in Asia. It will highlight the overall global position and then focus on the position and related studies in Asia. Latterly it will agree on how the Network might function in the future and how the membership might be expanded.

BME Workers Forum

BME Workers Forum may be for you!

The BME Workers Forum meets at least four times a year. Our group is open to all minority ethnic colleagues and foreign national colleagues. However, if you are unsure whether you fall into one of these groups and/or you have a particular interest in the group, which you feel would like to contribute to the forum, please do not hesitate to contact a group member below to discuss you coming along.

BME Workers Forum is a friendly group of professionals within Health & Social Care and Children and Families Services who can offer a wide range of support and advice. Participants can also become involved in the consultation on Council strategies and may influence the implementation of new legislation and social work and social care practice. We have started to plan a yearly event open to all colleagues to raise awareness of issues affecting BME service users, students and/or colleagues.

If you would like to find out more, please contact
Anita Bhatnagar 529 5473 (55473)
