We’ll be back soon!

We’ve not forgotten about you – we’ve just had a short break to do some personnel changes (some people moving on and others joining the fold) and we will have dates for meetings shared as soon as possible. We plan on having two meetings this year, one focusing on the ‘Best Bits’ of the past ten years of the ELPF and another focusing on Edinburgh as a ‘Restorative City’.

Please get in touch if you’d like to be more involved, the ELPF is an excellent networking and learning forum.

Forthcoming Dates for ELPF

Dates for forthcoming Edinburgh Local Practitioner Forum meetings:

Wednesday 21 November 2018 (European Room, Council Chambers).

Please view the Agendas & Minutes for previous and upcoming meetings

As always, if there is anything you would like raised via the ELPF please get in touch. Email: localpractitionerforum@edinburgh.gov.uk or contact us online.

We are also looking for new co-chairs, so if you’d like to take the next step and help to organise a meeting, let us know!

Change is in the air at the ELPF

I’m sorry to announce that Tamara Gill has decided to step down as a co-chair of the ELPF. Tamara has been involved with the ELPF since its inception and was the last ‘original’ chair. That said, with change comes opportunity so here is yours – we want you to get involved! David Carter (Children & Families Social Worker) has volunteered to co-chair (Welcome David!) so we now have representation from Criminal Justice, Community Care and Children & Families Social Work. We are always looking for support and if you could spare a few hours PER YEAR to make a contribution, be that taking a minute of a meeting or organising a meeting, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us on @ELPFonline, via Contact Us on this site or localpractitionerforum@edinburgh.gov.uk. The ELPF can only exist whilst practitioners are actively involved. We would particularly like some ongoing representation from workers in the voluntary sector.

Hoping to hear from you!

Ciara

Call for Volunteers!

Hi everyone

The ELPF is looking for a co-chair (or two) to share the running of the forum. The workload is minimal – organising one forum meeting per year and consulting with the other chairs on meeting agendas/burning issues and/or taking responsibility for a response to a consultation or to a query. We meet four times a year, for a morning. The ELPF, and involvement in the same, is fully supported by our Chief Social Work Officer Michelle Miller.

Please get in touch – without your support the ELPF cannot function!

Ciara and Aisling
