Social Work Degree Feedback

Unfortunately I have just heard that Moira Lyne, who was going to give us an input on the integration of Health and Social Care, is unable to make the meeting tomorrow.

I have been in touch with the SSSC (who are currently reviewing social work education and PRTL requirements in Scotland) and they are keen to have some practitioner feedback. I suggest we use the time set aside for Moira to have some small group discussion on this topic instead. I have no doubt it will be a great conversation starter!

Consolidating the SSSC register

The SSSC is proposing to consolidate the Register for Social Service Workers in Scotland and would appreciate your feedback, including thoughts on separating the Register into two parts (one for Adults and one for Children), extending the re-registration period to a standard 5 years for all workers and standardising PRTL requirements. Here is the link to a short online survey or you can download a form to complete and return from this site: SSSC Consultation.

The consultation response period ends on Wednesday 10th October 2012 – make your voice heard!
