Just Us – Conversation Cafe

You are invited to attend a Just Us Conversation Café Event

Who are we?
Just Us is a group led by women who have experience of mental health issues and of being in the criminal justice system. This group is supported by Willow, which provides a range of services to women who have had involvement with the criminal justice system.

Just Us was awarded funding from See Me Scotland to raise awareness surrounding the stigma experienced by women who have mental health issues and criminal justice involvement.

What we are inviting you to?
The group has created a film which highlights the collective experiences of women who have mental health difficulties and criminal justice involvement.

The film will be showcased on the above dates, and will be introduced by Just Us who will present an overview about the work they have undertaken to date. You will be invited to participate in group discussion centering around the issues arising, and there will also be a research based presentation, which looks statistically and empirically at the known issues faced by women in the criminal justice system.

Just Us

The Willow Project, a multi-disciplinary service for women involved in the criminal justice system, have a group that meets on a Friday called Just Us.

Just Us are a group supported by Willow and led by women who have experience of mental health issues and of being in the criminal justice system. Just Us were awarded funding from See Me and have been working hard over the last year to raise awareness around the impact of poor mental health for women in the criminal justice system.

Please see INVITES final just us conversations for Conversation Café events and the dates and times these will be running. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event when refreshments will be available.
